Artist Statement, condensed

As a ceramic artist my work revolves around sculptural and figurative objects. For the past two years I have been focusing on the concept of Humanity v. Technology. I show the viewer what it means to be human and how technology interferes with our natural inclinations and abilities. I explore the push and pull between the helpfulness technologies provide and the consequences it creates. As a society of many generations it is important to see the progression of scientific advancement and how it affects us as a whole and individually.
